Research shows that one of the best ways to share with younger students the message that being drug-free is the best choice as well as teach them the skills needed to stay drug-free is to hear the message from older students. The Champions Program has two halves. For the 5th through 9th grade students who receive their presentations, getting the message about, and learning the skills for, being drug-free from real, engaging older students has a huge impact. The other half offers the high school Champions an opportunity to expand their leadership skills and to make real change in their community, while reaffirming their decision to be drug and alcohol free.
The Champions Program is offered in the Mequon-Thiensville, Grafton and Ozaukee School Districts. If you would like more information about the program, or would like to find out how a Champions program can be started in your school, please email the Champions Coordinator at email@example.com.
